Old versions of zeipress use Zurb Foundation with node and gulp to build assets. These are the versions of node you may need to try in order for the tooling to work:

• 6.17.1
• 12.22.9
• 14.15.3 – Many Zeitpress2 and Zeitpress sites work well with this version
• 16.20.2
• 18.20.4
• 20.10.0

Try 14.15.3 first as it usually fixes any issues running npm install. Use nvm (Node Version Manager) to mange your node versions locally, so you have the ability to install and swap node versions on the fly.
